New District Executive

New District Executive Announcement

The Northern Star Council has announced the appointment of Molly Long as the new Chief Black Dog District Executive effective October 1, 2014.  Molly is a graduate of St. Thomas University and currently serves as exploring executive with the Northern Star Council. She views the appointment as an opportunity to broaden her Scouting resume by moving into the traditional Scouting programming.

In addition to being in Girl Scouts as a youth and having sales and youth programming experience, Molly has a successful record in Exploring membership and finance.

Molly looks forward to meeting scouts and volunteers at the district camporee at the end of September as well as the October roundtable.

Tim Liffrig, District Commissioner, and Bob Gwinn, District Chair, participated in the selection process.
