All Scouting groups nationwide are encouraged to log their service hours at the Good Turn for America web site. By logging your unit's service hours, the Boy Scouts of America can quantify some of the impact Scouting is having on our communities. This is one of the statistics which is included in the annual BSA Report to the Nation in Washington, DC.
Click on the Good Turn for America logo above or this link www.GoodTurnForAmerica.org to be directed to the Good Turn for America web site for more information about the program. The Good Turn for America web site also includes some service project suggestions as well as tips for carrying them out.
Every Northern Star Council pack, troop, team, crew, and post has been assigned a login number to access this site. If you do not have your login number, please contact Bob Elliott at cbdactivities@comcast.net
or at 952-953-4336 and he will give it to you.
If your unit isn't already logging its service hours on the Good Turn for America web site, please begin doing so. All community service projects, including rank advancement projects (i.e. Eagle Projects, etc.) should be recorded on the Good Turn for America website. Let us know of all of the great community service that your unit has done in your community.
The Good Turn for America patch (shown above) and year rockers are available at the Scout Shop. The patch is a "temporary" patch that goes on the right shirt pocket for boys and adult male leaders, or above the right pocket for adult female leaders. Please wear your Good Turn for America patch proudly!
